  • Overview

    The Senior Human Resources Benefits Analyst will serve as the primary contact for employees, retirees, plan vendors and third-party administrators for benefit programs including all insurance and related plans (health, dental, vision, life/AD&D, critical illness, accident, long term care, employee assistance program, and tax-free flexible spending). Duties focus in the areas of benefit plan design, implementation, and record-keeping; employee service, eligibility, enrollment, and communication; and federal/state regulation compliance.

    Responsibilities


    Position Duties:

    • Understanding of and demonstrated ability to reconcile GL accounts and invoices to remittances
    • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships and confidentiality
    • Demonstrated success as a meticulous record-keeper with superior organizational skills and detail-orientation
    • Conducts annual enrollment meetings and trainings as needed
    • Subject matter expert in preparation and accuracy review of various employee benefit communication materials, documents, presentations, and benefit websites
    • Ability to look at things from a strategic lens and translate them into Human Resources processes while creating a positive business impact
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
    • Highly self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with advanced problem solving capabilities
    • Strong relationship building skills to influence change and decision making at all levels
    • Detail oriented with both quantitative and qualitative outputs
    • Develops annual budgets for benefit and payroll components
    • Audit support and primary liaison for benefit plan audits
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

     

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related field preferred
    • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
    • Minimum five years of progressively responsible HR experience, accounting, or auditing benefit plans
    • Proficiency in general ledger program required
    • Excellent knowledge of HRIS systems and report building (Dayforce, SAP)
    • Demonstrated knowledge of employee benefits plans and related federal and state regulations including but not limited to ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, and DOL/IRS defined contributions retirement programs
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word required
    • Positive attitude as well as professional demeanor and consultative approach
