  • Overview

    Support the Human Resources team by performing a variety of administrative functions that requires the ability to work independently, multi-task, follow simple and complex instructions, and think critically. Respect the confidential nature of the HR environment and ensure personnel information is protected and company sensitive information is processed in an appropriate manner. Demonstrate a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to address issues with tact and diplomacy treating all internal and external customers with respect.   

    Responsibilities

    Provide administrative support to the members of Human Resources in generating reports, tracking activities, invoice reconciliation, and other duties as assigned.

    Administer all facets of the Attendance Control Program including maintaining and tracking employee attendance.

    Point of contact for leave of absence requests, eligibility determination, leave maintenance, and tracking.

    Review and approve employee eligibility and contribution amounts for purposes of Health & Welfare and Defined Pension Benefit Plan administration and invoice reconciliation.

    Maintain employee personnel files.

    Assist with new hire process including but not limited to processing new employee paperwork, enter data in appropriate software systems (SAP), and presentation of orientation materials.

    Perform system updates through appropriate Human Resources Information Systems (Ceridian) with all relevant personnel information.

    Assists with the creating and producing Crystal Reports as required to satisfy inquiries regarding salaried employees.

    Communicate with employees as necessary to answer general questions regarding policies, handbook inquiries, and scheduling.

    Provide administrative support to the EEO Coordinator in maintaining the Affirmative Action Plan

    Respond to employment inquiries from third parties.

    Provide support to all members of Sunsweet Leadership as appropriate to ensure that all internal customers are being properly helped and issues addressed timely.

    Qualifications

    Must possess:

    Ability to exercise a pleasing personality, tact, and discretion in interpersonal contacts

    Ability to maintain and respect the confidentiality of privileged information

    Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve people issues with liability potential

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Previous experience in an administrative role where customer service and detail-attentiveness were required

    Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment

    Ability to meet deadlines

    Excellent problem solving skills

    Attentiveness to detail

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Good judgment, common sense, and professionalism

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    Working knowledge of general office procedures and equipment

    Prefer someone with:

    An advanced 2- or 4-year degree in a relevant field

    Upward mobility

    Human Resources experience in a functional area (compensation, benefits, recruitment, training, etc.)

    Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, statutes

    Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment battery of tests including:

    Background check (employment, education, criminal)

    Drug test
